Foodbees 3.0 by Leo Club

by Shenoj Kuruvilla

The Leo Club continues its charitable mission, with the month of March 2022 being no different.

After having donated sanitary pads to Women's Aid Organisation (WAO) in celebration of International Women's Day, they powered-on to help the homeless in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

On the 25th of March, the team surveyed a few areas to identify communities in need, and eventually found a suitable location.

On the next day, they gathered on campus to prepare items to be distributed, and then set out for Masjid Jamek. Upon reaching Lebuh Pudu, they discovered many homeless people in the area.

The team managed to get the homeless community to queue, and started distributing items. Each individual were given two buns, a bottle of water and a packet of nasi kerabu. They were orderly and polite, stopping to thank the team before leaving.

With some extra packs of food left, the Leo Club then donated to Anjung Singgah, a halfway-house in the city centre.

The Leo Club once again did great work. Their venture was a success, and the team is looking forward to Foodbees 4.0. Members will continue their efforts to make a difference with more engagements like this one in the future.
